[Latest Event] The 2nd City I&T Grand Challenge Showcase 2025

The second City I&T Grand Challenge, which empowers and supports innovators to contribute to the city through the power of innovation and technology, was launched under the theme “Hong Kong’s Got I&T”. All sectors of the community were invited to put forward I&T solutions focusing on 2 sub-themes, namely "I&T for Nature" (improving the operation and management of country parks and campsites, and enhancing hikers' experiences in nature) and "I&T for Community" (enhancing support for carers).

20 winning solutions from university / tertiary institute and open groups received support from the Innovation and Technology Commission. After intensive training and refinement of the winning solutions, teams successfully transformed ideas from the competition into prototypes for trials at government departments and social communities. The prototypes of winning solutions are now being unveiled for trial through simulated real-life scenarios.
